MATTHEW CHEN

Hey! I’m Matt, an art director with a philomathic nature. My love of learning anything and everything means I’m full of random knowledge which helps me come up with the weirdest and wildest solutions.

I especially enjoy incorporating science and technology into my work. With years of experience in graphic design, photography, and videography, I can guide a campaign from ideation to execution.

I have received awards for my volunteer work and leadership but ultimately I just enjoy working with other driven people.

ANGELICA ROMANIC

Angelica is an energetic and focused creative/art director in advertising. This means being a part of big projects that need fresh or finished ideas. She believes that “Without the creatives, ideas do not exist and the world becomes a dark and dull place”. Yep, she made that up but she’s not wrong. Creativity projects brilliance and she likes that idea. She looks at the bigger picture because the smaller picture is depressing. She cannot afford to be intimidated by others because, basically, she doesn’t have the time. She is not afraid to fail, she is prepared to have fun, have a laugh and enjoy what she does and be proud of what she can accomplish.

CHRISTOPHER NEWLANDS

Hi, I’m a creative/art director/designer or whatever title suits someone who aspires to change the game in the digital and physical world using unique creative/design skills. Adapting is my greatest skill; different environments and equipping my flair and perspective for innovative work only help me to evolve toward my dream of impacting in a role at Manchester City Football Club.

TENISHA CROOK

Hi, I am Tenisha Crook also known as a (very) junior Art director, with a background in digital design. When I’m not playing around on photoshop or messing around with illustrator, you can find me eating a truckload of sushi or taking photos of arty shit on the weekends.

CARLIN STEPHENSON

Heyo, I’m a Creative / Art Director / Photographer. As a youngin, I spent my time making art and crafts with my Nana. So, I’m well versed in the art of removing super glue where super glue has no business being. Glue-related-traumas aside, those arty afternoons instilled in me my love for creating. Nowadays, my creativity lends itself to thinking up and designing ads, as well as photographing people and places. And it makes me pretty darn happy.

JAKE PEACOCK

Jake is an ideas man above all else. What he lacks in decades of learning-filled life experience, he makes up for with bold creativity and a knack for leadership. Jake hopes to utilise his skills in design to create exciting visuals for emotive ad campaigns on the forefront of culture and society. He thinks words are ‘da bomb’ and ideas that incite change are ‘even more bomb’.

Basically, he likes to make things that make people want to do stuff.

TAYLA ORR

With three years of industry experience and a lifetime of crafting creative campaigns in my head, thinking creatively has always come naturally and has inspired me to become the passionate Junior Art Director that I am today.

My most notable projects are completing briefs for Teen Vogue and Lego and further presenting to clients such as 7-Eleven and the Red Cross Australia. Over the course of my studies and working as a Media Co-Ordinator, I have acquired skills such as creative/strategic thinking and graphic design. I have also learnt the importance of building emotional bonds between brands and consumers.

My drive is creating ideas that resonates with people – by not only creating meaningful campaigns but by making it human.

SHARON LI

I can make a kickass loaf of sourdough and play the cello adequately. Equipped with these two essential skills, I’m ready to take on a career in advertising as an art director. Open-minded and curious, I can put myself in anyone’s shoes and become an expert in anything the project requires. My recent search history reads “HTML for beginners” and “how does Ibuprofen know my knee hurts”. I’ve eaten scorpion, alpaca and guinea pig. Try me, there’s nothing I won’t.

WILL MANTESSO

I am a maker. Whether I’m making things with my hands in the workshop or using digital tools on my computer, I can bring ideas to life. I love making things to solve problems. I take a can-do approach to anything I’m tasked with solving and strive to create the best possible solution from the available resources. I see a future me making creative solutions for you.

KRISTOPHER DERVENIS

Kris Dervenis would like to become an art director, he is interested in being involved with the overall visual aspects of a campaign. Kris looks forward to coordinating and working with other colleagues to solve a problem.

Kris understands that he is a junior and there is a lot to learn, however, he is determined to improve his skills and knowledge within the advertising industry. He believes having a strong work ethic and a personable nature is crucial to becoming an art director, needless to say any position.

Outside of advertising, Kris enjoys socialising, playing tennis and going to the beach. He values friendships, is a cat/dog lover and is a big family man.

RUBY KOCO

I’m Ruby, a hybrid-creative whose brain is wired to blend logical insights with creativity to produce thought provoking work. I live for the hustle of a deadline and thrive under pressure. My best creative problem solving hangs in the balance between logic and creativity which is why I stand as a Creative Strategist; I’m a maker at heart but I always back up what I produce.

ETHAN BATTICCIOTTO

A passionate Creative with a love for all things Design. Thrives working in a team to meet new people, share different ideas and knowledge to develop as both a professional and individual. Has good communication skills and excels under pressure but will still always find a way to bring a big smile and some fun to any environment. As an aspiring Art Director, the main dream is to put a big smile on someone else’s face too.

TAYLOR McCONELL

When I grow up I want to be an Art Director. I talk too fast, too much and too loudly. I need to be surrounded by people, I get my energy from them, I get them. I am always coming up with new ideas to better myself and my workplace. These ideas saw me promoted from Personal Assistant to Social Media Manager. When I grow up I want to be an Art Director.

ZAID DIEGO

Zaid is an aspiring creative who focuses on applying his creative skills to create incredible pieces that value the importance of mental health and further support the underprivileged society.

He’s part of the Stakeholder Relations team in a construction company where he works closely to build strong relationships with the community affected by the construction.

Zaid is always eager to learn more about the creative world, as he hopes to help society to live colourfully.

SAFFRON SYLVESTER

I am a Sydney/Melbourne based Art Director and running enthusiast. In short, I thrive when surrounded by people and chaos. It is when I am most happy, inspired and productive. I am a very creative person and love the challenge of juggling many things at once. My enthusiasm and high energy is infectious and helps bring people together. Not a big deal but I can also muster a 2,000 acre paddock on my own.

NOAH MUNRO

Noah is a 21 year old art director and all-round creative. Noah loves to learn new things, especially about the world around him. He has a passion for a wide variety of different interests such as architecture, NFL, mid-century modern design, and Lego which doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. Noah is one of those people that wants to ‘know a little about a lot’ which, in an industry like this, is only a bonus.

CARINA BOYLE

I’m a creative who wants to produce crazy ideas into tangible things.

I use my hobbies of art to influence my work making it more illustrative and full of passion. I have experience in both retail and social media and have always focussed on the person behind the counter and screen.

Brutal honesty and communication is something I thrive on in a collaborative setting. People are my strong suit.

DARYL OH

I’m Daryl, an aspiring art director that craves ingenuity. Having worked with clients like Heineken and novelty food businesses has kept me filled, but I’m constantly hungry to create work that keeps people wanting more.

As someone who is highly innovative with a pair of keen eyes for details, I sometimes like to indulge in a little doodling and designing just to relax. If not, you can catch me down at my favourite local cafe, enjoying a classic big brekkie.

JESSICA TRAJKOVSKA

Intertwined with the brilliance of culture and originality under my belt. A nobody to some and an utter body of creative idiocy to others. I manage to work in a space of having rather than one of deficit.

I’m not the loudest voice in the room but I am always listening with intent and ready to pounce whenever a wacky idea comes to life in my head. There is always a trail of mischievousness – adding a little madness to my method.

Forever motivated by the desire to achieve, rather than beat others.

Let’s disrupt the world of Art Direction…

JENNIFER WESTON

As a creative I have an over-active imagination that inspires me to create thought-provoking content that reaches deep into the pit of people emotions.

I aspire to create work that reaches people through outstanding design and ideas.

Not only do I thrive under pressure and in intense situations but as a creative I strive to push myself past the simplicity of only looking at design. I love creating research born ideas, as well as looking at where the design can stem from.

Through all of this I love having a bit of a laugh whilst creating art and am always looking for my next big idea.

DYLAN COLLAGA

Although I specialise in design (AKA the art of making things look expensive), my primary purpose in life is to help others solve their problems. Especially for business owners who need solutions to business problems. Therefore, I strive to do whatever it takes to give owners their solutions.

SARAH FUMO

I’ve always been passionate about creating, and finding meaning and connections in creative projects. What started out as drawing, turned into a want to become an artist, then a ceramicist and finally, somehow landed me here, aspiring to be an art director.

Something I’ve never been though, is the loudest in the room. A perk of being the younger sister to an overly theatrical extrovert. This taught me many valuable things, such as the importance of listening and observing, to gain different perspectives. While also instilling a strong work ethic, as I find it easier to show than say.

ADELAIDE CESTER

Hi, my name is Adelaide. I am a people person who loves to talk and work with others. Adapting to the zoom life certainly had its challenges! I have always been a creative thinker, coming up with ideas is my passion. I think this is why I enjoy advertising so much, working hard and watching those ideas come to life is unlike anything else.

KATE PRICE

I’m Kate, an aspiring junior art director. I am creative before I am anything else and my work is visually oriented. I am driven by collaboration and creative problem solving. I never sit still. I am always finding new hobbies and creative activities to keep me busy when i’m not working on briefs. I am really excited to get into the industry and looking forward to meeting everyone on pitch night!

COOPER FRASER

Hi, my name is Cooper and I am an aspiring Art Director and current 3rd year Advertising student. I have been working artistically through Music, Fine Art and Design mediums since a very early age and what comes fittingly with my passion for creativity is a love for people and interaction. Everyday is a new opportunity to collaborate and share our passions with the people we meet. I won’t solve your maths problems or talk politics, but what I can do is form very good ideas. Light bulb moments, think a mad mind that never sleeps.

XANTHE DORAN

Hey, I’m Xanthe, Junior Art Director by day, content creator by night. Being a junior art director, telling stories through meaningful visuals has always been my first love, and I’ve been lucky enough to combine my art skills with my love of social media to create campaigns and content for international brands on my personal instagram.

ZOE PHAN

A motivated creative and artistic individual enjoys transforming complex problems into engaging and thought-provoking solutions. She subscribes to the belief that successful designs must communicate a memorable story and a transcendent experience.Zoe has an unhealthy obsession with food, games, and 2D design. She loves bread and would happily get paid in croissants.

TAYLOR BADER

Hey, I’m Taylor! A Saudi-born, Perth-raised, Melbourne-living gal. I studied design throughout high-school, and it’s really where my interest in creative advertising blossomed, so I saved up after school and made the journey over to Melbourne to study at RMIT. I’m eager to get into the working world as a Junior Art-Director. I thrive in collaborative and creative environments, and will roll with whatever is thrown my way (even if it hits me in the face).

RAMY NAJMEDDINE

KATRINA CHUNG

My name is Katrina Chung, I was born in Hong Kong (China). My family and I migrated to Australia when I was 11 years old.

Living in different countries allow me to observe things differently compare to others, I can alway see something through the so call “Western” and “Asian” perspective, allowing me to create ideas that are different from others.

I love art and design, I draw when I have spare time and have experience in designing logos and posters for small online business (instagram). Although I picked my title to be Art director, I believe I am also a very good strategist as I always have a lots of different ideas and strategies.

SOFIJA MILOSEVIC

I love strategy and problem solving, I also have skills in marketing, photography and making the best cup of tea ever.

LACHLAN WARING

YUE HUANG

Hi, I’m Yue, who is driven and inspired by my rich imagination and the curiosity of the world. Even in this digital age, content is still the king in the advertising industry. As a self-motivated, dedicated media content creator, I’m looking forward to working in the creative industry as an art director and engaging with our target audience through online channels.

DELANEY BRAGGINS

Hi! I’m Delaney and I’m an aspiring social media content creator and product photographer (that’s basically just a fancy way of saying I like making things look pretty!). I have a passion for all things creative. Product photography allows me to explore this passion. I love the hands-on nature of styling a product and the endless opportunities for expressiveness that it provides. It’s a career I want to jump out of bed for everyday, and that is all we want for our lives right?

CALLUM LEWIS

I’m an Art Director who’s currently studying at RMIT. I’m well versed in Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator but I’m always looking to improve. Being creative is a large part of my life, Art Directing allows me to use my imagination in a structured format which appeals to me greatly. Outside of Art directing I love strength sports, lifting weights is a big passion of mine as it gives me a great deal of satisfaction when to hit new levels of strength. Progression in Advertising is much harder than weightlifting as it is far more subjective making it harder to master. I strive to continue to progress in my art directing skills, become a master of Photoshop and Illustrator and continue to hit new PB’s in the gym.

TIA ZAKIS

Tia is a successful freelancing digital artist with plans to open up her own studio space in the new year. With a bronze pixel award and a diploma of visual merchandising under her belt, Tia brings a diverse creative skillset to any brief given to her, as well as an outgoing personality and an eye for excellence
